BDaniel Byrd Photo Hobbyist SD

My full name is Beau Daniel James Byrd. I use BDaniel as my photography name as in the title of this web site. I’m a disabled, but mobile retired Army veteran and have had a passion for photography for a very long time. I’ve been snapping shots from Korea, Germany, and everywhere else I’ve been able to journey to. I’m also a strong believer in Christ Jesus, attend Church regularly, read my Bible daily, and do studies with my Church family as well as on my own. I’m not one of those who going to try and push my faith and beliefs on others, but will fellowship with anyone who has questions or would like to talk about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. My photography business is not affiliated with the Church, but I do encourage going and being a part of a Bible believing, following and preaching Church family.

I moved to Hot Springs, SD in 2017 for a position at the Hot Springs VA as a Contact Representative for the Health Eligibility and Enrollment National Call Center. I left to do something I loved just a bit more than helping veterans with their VA Healthcare enrollment and questions, that being photography. On a beautiful and warm summer day in 2017, I grabbed my camera and took a long drive through Wind Cave National Park, Custer State Park and clear up to Spearfish. That day is when I was hooked on how beautiful the Black Hills was and took most every moment I could to get out and photograph everything I saw. Being a believer, I saw this land as Gods art work for His children to enjoy and care for, being good stewards of His creation. I have dreamed of publishing a web site to showcase the pictures I’ve taken and share them for others to see and enjoy. By His grace, I’ve been able to accomplish that dream.

All the photos on this site are free to all for whatever they may be used for. All I ask, if they are used, is for credit in taking the photograph. I will be updating this site semi-monthly as the seasons and scenes change. I truly hope and pray you enjoy them, as much as I have enjoyed taking them. My Military service and education.

Enlisted in 1991, retired in 2011. My military occupational specialties; infantryman, Food Service Specialist, and Microwave Communications. I’ve been a team leader, Squad Leader, Section Sargeant, Platoon Sargeant. Company and Battalion Equal Opportunity NCOIC, Master Driver and trainer, and a Drill Sergeant.

 

My Civilian Education.

Associates in Computer Systems Technology / Network configuration: Mitchell Technical Institute, 2007. Bachelors in Public Service and Leadership; Major in Public Policy analysis and formation; Minor in Political Science, Dakota Wesleyan University, 2016.

 

My Hobbies.

Photography, model building, and most importantly Bible study.
